Turkey – a Country for Everyone!

Shopping at the Grand Bazaar
With breathtaking beauty, many historical and archeological sites, and a tradition of hospitality, Turkey has become one of the world’s most popular tourism destinations. The country’s geography is so diverse, you can experience four different climates in one day. If you’re interested in staying along the shore, that’s not a problem. The country is surrounded by 3 different seas. If you are interested in hiking, mountain climbing, or skiing, the Turkish mountains are perfect for winter or summer vacations. Recently the country has had a tremendous increase in holistic tourism. They have hot springs, healing waters, and muds, which come highly recommended by the medical authorities as a remedy for many diseases. Shop for one of their traditional Turkish hand crafts which could include rugs, ceramics, wood crafting, embroidery, or any of the other amazing crafts found here. Whatever type of experience you are looking for, Turkey surely will not disappoint. Let us introduce you to some of the highlights of this wonderful country.

Istanbul
One of the most famous and well known cities in Turkey is Istanbul. Did you know Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents? It lies along the two shores of the Bosphorus which links the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea. It is Turkey's largest city with a population of approximately over 12 million. Istanbul is also at the heart of the economy of Turkey. The largest companies and banks, the media and advertising agencies all have their headquarters in this city. As you exlore this beautiful city, you will see Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman palaces, mosques, churches, monasteries, monuments, walls and ruins. While it still remains a historical city, it is a vibrant, modern and future-oriented metropolis. Bazaars and ultra-modern shopping centers and department stores, street vendors and stock brokers, old crumbling buildings and skyscrapers coexist, giving this city a multi-faceted outlook and flavor.

Next, we introduce you to the third largest city in Turkey, Izmir, known as the “Beautiful Izmir”. Located at the start of a long and narrow gulf where you will surely see yachts, passenger ships and gulf streamers its geographical location means that visitors can enjoy a Mediterranean climate, natural beauty, a rich cultural, and historical heritage, not to mention great beaches, thermal waters and spas. In addition, this city boasts a rich cuisine featuring grapes, figs, olives, citrus fruits and seafood. As a lively and cosmopolitan city, it occupies a significant place in Turkey's cultural life with the International Arts Festival and International Fair.

Ephesus
Take a drive for approximately one hour, to one of the most important archeological sites you will ever visit, Ephesus. Home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, you can explore the area and see The Temple of Artemis, visit the Virgin Mary’s cottage, where she spent the last years of her life, visit the Church of the Virgin Mary which is also known as one of the seven churches of the Apocalypse. With all of this history, its’ no wonder Ephesus is considered one of the greatest outdoor museums of Turkey.

Bodrum Marina
Bodrum, a location known for its climate, natural beauty, magnificent coves and history, is also a place where modern nightlife allows you to party until the sun comes up. The seaside villages, bays and coves are world-famous and each offers its own charm and custom. As for the city, Bodrum has been the imprint of many cultures and civilizations including the Roman and Byzantine. Some of the sites we would recommend is a visit to Bodrum Castle, originally built by The Knight’s of St. John, it is now were the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology. Take a tour of the beautiful bays and coves where you will swim in water that is all different shades of blue. No matter what type of water experience you are looking for, Bodrum promises not to disappoint.

Touring Cappadocia
Cappadocia is a stunning area of worldly rock formations, subterranean churches, and underground dwellings, some of which are over-whelming. The city was a sanctuary for the early Christians who escaped persecution by living and worshipping underground. Two of the most impressive underground cities are Kaymaklı, which has 8 levels, and Derinkuyu, which reaches down to 60 yards. These underground cities, built by Christians in the 7th century to avoid being persecuted, were created as self-sufficient environments which included bedrooms, kitchens and storage rooms. It is also believed there are an estimated 3000 rock churches in this area, not all of them are open to the public. Besides the archeological beauty of this city, Cappadocia is also famous for its carpet-weaving, wines and the distinctive red pottery of the Avanos area.

Antalya, the Turkish Riviera
Last, but not least Antalya, the Turkish Riviera. This area is the most stunning area of Turkey’s Mediterranean Coast. This is a thriving modern city, with a historic centre within the old city walls. This area has been revived in recent years, with many of the wooden Ottoman mansions being restored and turned into boutique hotels. Cars are not allowed on the narrow streets of the old town so it is a good place to soak up the atmosphere around the charming harbor. The city is set high on cliffs, with many of its grandest hotels overlooking the sea on the outskirts of the town. The beach area of Lara, the best beach in the area, is known for its golden sand. Want to head up into the mountains? You can view the most beautiful scenery by visiting the spectacular Düden or Kurşunlu waterfalls.

We hope you enjoyed reading about some of the wonderful cities of Turkey. Give us a call so we can assist you in planning your journey to this amazing country.

Thinking of hitting the slopes this winter? Well read what we feel are the top Ski and Snowboard destinations!

With winter quickly approaching and the holidays just a few short months away, we’re sure you’re starting to think of the possibilities of some winter fun on the slopes. Whether you’re into skiing, snowboarding, or just going on a fun sleigh ride, we have all of the information on the top destinations in the world! There are so many travel sites out there that give you their idea of the best ski resorts around, so we’re just going to give you a few of our favorites for all levels of fun.

Let’s start here in the U.S. and Canada

Colorado boasts some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the world! Two of the top ski areas are Aspen and Vail. Both cities offer a unique blend of culture, history, sports, entertainment, great restaurants, and wonderful hotels. Aspen dates back to the late 1800’s when silver mining was the thing to do. It is probably the most famous ski town in the country. With over 4,823 acres of land and over 40 ski slopes. Vail is more of a European style ski village, which is home to the largest ski mountain in America. No matter which area you decide to go, your skiing experience in Colorado will be dreams come true.

Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah – Home of the 2002 Olympics, Deer Valley offers different terrains spread over four mountains so every skier can have a great experience! From down-hill, helicopter skiing and snowboarding, Deer Valley is definitely a must!

Let’s head to the East Coast to Killington, Vermont. Located in central Vermont, Killington is known as the largest ski and snowboard area in the East. There are seven interconnected mountains, which provide unparalleled diversity of skiing and the greatest vertical in New England. Snowboarders are challenged with the longest terrain park in the East.

High elevation vistas, mountain-to-mountain exploration on more than 87 miles of trails and the charm of Vermont are just the beginning of a Killington vacation.

Staying in Vermont, Stowe Mountain Resort is located on Mt. Mansfield which is Vermont’s highest peak. The resort offers a variety of terrain spread out over two mountains. Spruce Peak, which offers intermediate and novice terrain and Mt. Mansfield which offers terrain for all ability levels.

Looking for a Canadian ski experience? To quote, “Whistler-Blackcomb is good indication that the Gods of Winter exist and have joined forces to bestow North America’s best resort upon British Columbia.” Host to the 2010 Winter Olympics, these two mountains provide what some call the best skiing in North America. Whistler's charming village offers everything snowboarders and skiers crave; cafes, international stores and over 100 restaurants that cater to all tastes including Chinese, French, Greek, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, and Thai cuisine. Over the past decade, Whistler was consistently voted "Best North American Ski Resort" by North Americans & the Japanese repeatedly rank it as their favorite international destination

Now that we have covered North America, let’s explore the slopes of Europe. There are so many areas to choose from, we’ve decided to start in Zermatt, Switzerland. Most people would rank Zermatt as Switzerland's top resort. A remarkably peaceful getaway, the village is peaceful thanks to its car-free environment. Amazingly beautiful, Zermatt has the world's second largest lift-served vertical drop and receives huge snowfalls thanks to its altitude.

Another favorite of the avid skier is skiing in Austria. While St. Anton is considered the crown of “Europe’s liveliest ski resorts” and Innsbruck is home to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, it Kitzbuhel, is considered the "Pearl of the Alps" and is the most famous holiday resort in the Austrian Tyrol.

Last but not least, if skiing the French Alps is more of your liking, why not try Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France? Host to the world's first Winter Olympic Games in 1924, Chamonix ranks among the elite of contenders for the title of "world's most famous ski resort." Located at the foot of Mont-Blanc, it's the highest peak in the Alps and the second highest in Europe. Chamonix Mont-Blanc holds bragging rights both for its lift-served vertical drop of 9209 feet and for having one of the world's longest runs (Vallée Blanche), at 13.7 miles. No wonder this was an ideal choice to set the standard of the winter games.

So there you have it. No matter what type of skier you are, we have the knowledge and expertise to plan your ski vacation! So pack your bags and let us plan your down-slope adventure! Contact us and one of our specialists will be able to assist you with all of your planning needs.

The islands of Tahiti offer a world of adventure for families and children of all ages. Each of the islands offer a unique blend of accommodations and activities designed for tons of family fun. Many of the hotels offer large swimming pools – often with sand bottoms, family-size 4X4 excursion vehicles for half-and full-day expeditions into the lush interior for exploration and a picnic under a waterfall, beautiful sand beaches with calm waters, guided hiking and boat excursions with a naturalist who will provide a close study of birds, plants and marine life, and regular performances of music, sport, and dance featuring local children.

Bora Bora OverWater huts (the kids love this)
Three family favorites follow.

Believe it or not Tahiti is just one of the islands that make up 14 of the Society Island. It’s where the capital Papeete is located and where you start your journey. Tahiti is the largest island throughout the country and is considered the Queen of the Pacific. This invigorating city and gateway of the country, boasts world-class resorts, spas, fine dining and unique restaurants, nightclubs, vibrant markets, pearl shops, and boutiques. It gives you a perfect taste of what is to come.

After a day or so in Tahiti, visit Moorea – The Magical Island! Moorea soars magically out of the ocean in an explosion of green velvet - what you would imagine a South Seas island to be. The beauty of Moorea is unforgettable. It is the second largest of all the islands, very mountainous, with Mt. Tohivea being the highest point. If you’ve ever seen “South Pacific” it is rumored James Michener based Bali Hai on Moorea. Here you’ll find a true South Seas experience. A barefoot experience, with white and black sand beaches, multi colored lagoons, surrounded by mountains and a dormant volcano that reaches into the clouds. There are endless activities. From swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, surfing, kite surfing, 4X4 safaris, deep sea fishing, eco, cultural and nature touring, to having a private lunch on a private island called a motu. If this is too much activity for you, then sit back on your deck, soaking in the beauty and enjoy what nature has provided.

Bora Bora is the most impressive, distinctive island. Two towering peaks of sheer black rock dominate the center of the island and make an impressive backdrop to an assortment of blue waters that will dazzle the eyes. Bora Bora's lagoon is its most treasured feature, and allows the traveler many opportunities to experience it in a variety of ways. Windsurfing, jet ski across the magnificent turquoise lagoon, scuba dive, swim, bask in its warmth... the list goes on.

Bora Bora is truly an experience worth having. A wonderfully relaxing place to be, as well as a great island for you to experience, your Bora Bora vacation will never be forgotten. The perfect Bora Bora day begins with a dawn breakfast from your over-water bungalow deck, then a guided tour of the atoll on waver-runners, then a stop on a deserted beach for lunch of beachside barbecued lobster. Then perhaps there will be an hour of swimming with sharks and bat rays, schools of them mysteriously mellowed by the warm aqua waters. Spend some time shopping for black pearls in the central village of Vaitape or maybe enjoy an afternoon massage, full of locally harvested healing oils carrying a faint sweet smell of tiare. And finally, before dinner, have sunset cocktails overlooking Mount Otemanu, the extinct volcano which is paradise’s distinctively craggy profile.

No matter what experience you are looking for, you and your family will remember this vacation for many years to come!

Step back in time to the Middle Ages as you visit one of the most imperial, timeless and untouched cities in the world. Fez El Bali (Old Fez) – is the cultural heart of Morocco. Explore some of the 9,000 narrow lanes, alleys and souks (markets)that make-up the labyrinth of the city’s old quarter, originally founded in the 8th century AD.

The “Pearl of the South” Marrakech was once the capital of an empire that stretched from Toledo to Senegal. Called the “Pink City” because of the color of the local earth used in its construction, it is a city of labyrinthine alleyways, secluded palaces, museums, mosques and markets. The city’s gardens are still supplied with water from 11th-century underground irrigation canals. The Djemaa el Fna, the city square, is full of dancers, fortune-tellers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and snake charmers. Koutoubia, the 12th-century mosque dominates the Marrakech skyline. The Ben Youssef Medersa, with its mosaics, marbles, and carved woodwork forms part of Marrakech’s UNESCO-listed medina, now a World Heritage site, crammed with architectural masterpieces. Most of the city’s architectural attractions are inside the Medina, the old walled section of the town. Visit the El Badi Palace, which took twenty-five years to build, the 12th-century Koutoubia minaret; and the Saadian Tombs, which display a very high level of decoration, using traditional stucco and delicate Granada-style carving, typical of classical Moroccan buildings. Tour the Bahia Palace, residence of the grand vizier Si Ahmed Ben Moussa and a masterpiece of domestic architecture which provides insight into how the privileged lived in the Imperial city in 19th century. You can also stop at Dar Si Said, one of the most beautiful palaces and home to the museum of Moroccan Arts and Crafts.

Oualidia

Oualidia is the center of Morocco’s oyster industry and offers one of Morocco’s largest areas of abundant bird habitat. Oualidia is an ideal place to swim and surf, sample delicious seafood, or simply relax and walk on the beach.

With the new reconstruction, which took great pains to maintain the original Victorian structure and feel, the property now provides today’s discerning travelers with the most modern amenities available.

THE AFRICAN SAFARI – Still an anomaly but worth exploring

One of the still truly exotic vacation options available to individuals, couples, families or even big groups, is the African safari. Often, many won’t even consider it because 1) they think it is too hard to plan 2) they think it is too far away 3) they think it is dangerous or scary 4) too expensive 5) too dirty.

None of these things are true – well, almost none….it can be pretty dirty, but what’s the fun in clean anyway. But, the reality is the planning should be handled by professionals, the journey is no farther than any other destination fantasy spot, the danger factor is controlled by education, tour guides and good information and the expense is reasonable considering the experience.

The biggest challenge is actually seeing one of the cornerstones of the safari, which is the annual migration of the wildebeests – a display of more than 2 million animals moving in unison over the African plains in search of grass and water. Zebras and gazelles and just about any African animal can be seen on the migration, but often, travelers are disappointed upon arrival to learn they won’t be seeing the herds.

What happened? Bad information, freak of nature, just dumb luck? There’s never a guarantee to seeing the migration, but a best case scenario and good planning offer you the best options when trying to calculate this natural phenomenon.

We have created safaris to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Typically, the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers the best opportunity for seeing a resting or moving herd between December and March. Often, the herds settle in the Serengeti’s southern plains to give birth and so December through April/May offers a great chance to see the herds start moving again. Before that, in September the herds are in the northern areas of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and in Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve. If there is a lack of rain, the herd may travel north or west to Kusini and Naabi Hill on the border of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area. April and May are considered off seasons because of the rain, but there are several lodges that offer great views of the long grass plains and woodland of the western Serengeti almost up to Lake Victoria.

The migration is just one adventure on an African safari. Other great locations for animal site seeing and other exciting adventures include Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. You can relax in high luxury with the comforts of a spa-style lodge. Eat great food in luxurious surroundings and witness the softer side of nature. Or, rough it and take the adventurous route to explore the African plains, the hot dusty landscapes of the desserts, the clear cool waters of the jungle or the snow capped mountains. You can cruise the Nile, hike, photograph wildlife and the most stunning scenery in the world, and enjoy golfing, bird watching, cycling. There’s no end to the options.

Go alone, take the kids or a whole group.

Some caution, though. African safaris take planning and discipline. We are expert global travel professional and can build a safari for you with all of your top needs attended to. Planning takes about 6-8 months so be in touch the minute you decide that life won’t be complete unless or until you travel on that Range Rover in the heart of the African plains.

It’s All Happening at the Zoo

Simon and Garfunkel had it right…..It’s All Happening at the Zoo. Which zoo were they referring to? One of the New York zoos, of course, but nearly every city in our nation (and the world, for that matter) has a great zoo. One of our travel consultants is a self-declared “zoo fiend,” and shares her weekend trip with us. If you and your family are zoo fanatics, make sure to ask us to find out where the zoos are when we plan your next trip to anywhere in the world.

Here’s what our travel consultant tells us about her weekend visit to the Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee:

My family loves visiting as many zoos as we can in every city we go to. I decided to take a family outing to the Chattanooga Zoo. Since it’s only 2 ½ hours from Nashville, it made for a very nice day trip. Located just outside of downtown Chattanooga it was very easy to find.

The price of admission was very reasonable at $6 per adult (16yrs-up), $4 per child (3yrs-15yrs) and under 2 yrs old is free. I was told that as of June 1, 2010 the rates increase only by $2. Still very reasonable. We did not eat onsite, but they do have a nice concession stand with hot dogs, chips, soda's etc, that is also where you will find the indoor carousel for $1. The public restrooms were a little icky, but then again what public restrooms are perfect…not many. The grounds were kept up and the animals had nice enclosures....not too big, not to small. Employee's were eager to help and liked their jobs. The Gift Shop had good prices on their merchandise. I actually got a Diet Dr. Pepper in a can for .75 cents, amazing.

The Zoo is not all that big in size compared to others my family has been to, but has a nice variety of smaller animals. They did not have elephants, giraffe's, lion's or tigers, but they did have a nice variety of primates, snow leopards and two adorable red pandas. I think the petting zoo portion was the best part for my little guy. He was able to feed the goats, pet the miniature horses and camel. It was not overly crowed which was nice, you didn't feel like you were running over people.

The price was right for a 2-3 hour outing. I would recommend visiting if you do not mind the few imperfections listed above. Check out the website: www.chattzoo.org

We have been to the DC National Zoo, Washington DC; Nashville Zoo, Nashville, TN; Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Gulf Shores, AL; Pet a Pet Farm , Reston, VA (got to ride an elephant here :) and New Orleans Zoo, New Orleans, LA.

Next stop, the Memphis Zoo!

READY, SET, SUMMER – PLAN FOR YOUR SUMMER VACATION NOW

The grass has turned green and the warm, spring air is making your stuffy winter home fresh again. Before you know it, summer will be here and before you blink, summer will be over, kids (if you have them) are back in school, and everyone ramps up and gets ready for Thanksgiving break. Life moves pretty quickly and if you are not on top of it, you may miss your summer vacation. So, plan now and an exciting summer vacation is yours!

Whether traveling by your self, your significant other, a bunch of families with lots of kids or a group on tour, planning now will ensure a great summer getaway for all.

Some of our standby tips. Some of these are oldies, but goodies. Some are just common sense. Some tips you may have never thought of before. Here’s some of our wisdom.

Know what you want to do so your travel specialist can help you decide where to go – you can’t surf in the hotel pool so you really must share your desires with your agent to help unravel exactly the fun things you want to do while on vacation.

Book now – don’t wait too long. Hotels run out of rooms, airlines run out of seats, car rental companies run out of cars….you get the idea. Book now for all the best stuff.

Work with your travel specialist on all bookings. Qualified travel specialists know how to help customers avoid travel problems. They provide advice and service and can help you find the right (and the wrong) places to travel during a particular time of year – like summer. (You really don’t want to end up traveling to a foreign country during the rainy season, or worse, the locust season….ick!) Plus, your travel specialist can help you with regulations and restrictions and passport needs.

Work with your travel specialist to plan itineraries for tours and sightseeing. Special needs for small children, special needs for the handicapped, special dietary needs? Your travel specialist can help make accommodations. Ask about restaurants and know some places you really want to check out before arriving. Try to get tickets/reservations beforehand.

Plan some down time too to just roam around and enjoy the lifestyle of wherever it is your are visiting

Get travel insurance – seriously, just do it. Life is too unpredictable and travel insurance is cheap!

Our favorite places
There are thousands of places in the world to travel. We have been to, well, to almost all of them. Our travel specialists have been around the world, back and back again. There are getaways that accommodate every lifestyle, every need, every desire, well, just about everything.

For couples – couples love Western Europe in the summer – romantic, energetic, trendy –Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and France ..or a combo of a few or as many countries as you can fit. Further east, Prague in the Czech Republic is a city that has really found its exciting side in the past few years. Or, travel further to eastern countries including Thailand, Vietnam, or Cambodia, especially if you love the heat because our US summer is their hot, hot, hot time of year! Maybe a Costa Rican adventure trip, an African safari or a cruise.

For families – Disney …..enough said. Okay, okay, everyone loves Disney either in Florida or California. But there are other wonderful options for families that may have already done Disney or didn’t get bit by the Disney bug or just don’t want to deal with summer Florida heat. What about the Atlantis in the Bahamas? They have a water park there that rocks, plus other kid friendly fun. We can help you book Beaches Resorts in Turks and Caicos or Jamaica – those properties are partnered with Sesame Street and Crayola for loads of kid fun. Adventurous family? What about St. Lucia for Zip Lining, hiking, horseback riding.

Group tours – Tours to Europe or an African Safari are the post popular trips for large groups. Cruising is also an excellent option for groups of friends, a company bonus or a family celebration.

For the solo traveler – there are some great vacation ideas for singles whether you want to be left alone, meet someone or meet many new friends. Any destination is a great idea and we can work with you to plan for whatever you want to do while vacationing.

Really, these are just the tiniest tip of the iceberg. Call or email and we can plan an exciting, personalized vacation just for you (and whomever else you want to take with you!). Right now there are some “sizzling” summer deals to Montego Bay, El Dorado Royale spa resort in Mexico, Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort, with some packages starting at $499.

Avoid the TRAVEL NIGHTMARE and Enjoy a Relaxing Trip

Many have heard, or experienced them on their own. THE TRAVEL NIGHTMARE!

Whether it’s the getting-somewhere-that-looks-nothing-like-the-beautiful-photos-on-the-web-site scenario or the getting-bumped-from-a-flight-on-a-no-name-airline scenario or worse, the getting-stranded-or-rerouted-for-days scenario -- the stories are endless.

Who do you call? What do you do? When there is no travel specialist in the mix, choices are limited.

Of course we encourage the use of travel specialists – we are travel specialists. It’s how we earn our living. But, we have seen and heard enough of the horror stories to want to do our very best to help customers avoid the traps and we continue to advocate the use of qualified travel specialists/consultants. Here’s why:

Travel specialists can provide advice and service and have a built-in knowledge reserve that you just can’t get off the Internet.

Don’t know when is a good time to travel to Europe or one of the islands? A travel specialist can tell you in a second when to, and more importantly, when NOT to travel to a certain place.

In today’s viral world, many think it’s easy to book online. But, let’s face it, when looking on the Internet, all resorts, beaches, rooms, cruises look perfect. The difference someone booking with us at Destinations Galore, for example, might experience is that every one of our travel specialists has traveled the world. They can help you sort through the pretty pictures and really get down to what will work for you and what won’t. A computer screen can’t do that for you.

Something else to consider is that recent media reports show a shift from booking travel on the internet mainly because people are discovering that they don’t necessarily save time or money and there are so many unanswered questions and limitations. Plus, if sudden changes arise or a problem crops up during the trip, calls to Destinations Galore, will get answered around the clock and on weekends. Not so with Internet services.

Our travel specialists are constantly updating their skills and visiting places. Recently, our consultants recertified as specialists in more than a dozen categories including certification as spa and golf specialists and have either visited or earned certificates of achievement for their knowledge and understanding of countries and islands and their travel markets including in places like Egypt, Thailand, Tahiti, Barbados, Antigua, Jamaica, St. Lucia
Turks and Caicos, among others.

And, more importantly, specialists, particularly our group, work diligently on your behalf to find upgrades. Because we know managers at nearly every resort any where, we find all options and opportunities to get our customers on the concierge level. It’s all stuff that almost never happens when you book yourself.

Let’s face it, travel is one of the best gifts in life, but can be horrible if circumstances are not what you expected. Let a travel expert ensure your good times when you travel and always book with a qualified travel specialist.

They visited the Guinness Factory in Dublin, bought world famous Irish lace and got a glimpse of the crystal factory in Waterford, kissed the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle, enjoyed a picnic lunch in Glendalough Park and learned all about the culture and people of Ireland. The pubs and the food are exciting and sophisticated and the group wishes to go again soon.  We’ve shared some photos (courtesy of one of the group's travelers) for you to enjoy.

So much is happening in Ireland right now and there are many specials that are available.

And don’t miss the festivals where the Irish mix food and music…. Eat and stomp your way through Belfast’s Taste and Music Fest – Belfast has been named one of the top 15 places to visit in the coming decade or the 12th Annual International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival.

There is just so much to see and do in Ireland and our global travel specialists at Destinations Galore can offer you land only packages starting at $698. There are many packages to choose from, packages that include 9 cities in 15 days, or shorter tours of 6, 8 or 9 days, packages that include historical tours, festival stops and so much more.
