Its people are patriotic, fun loving and welcome visitors from all corners of the world.
We recently put a tour together for a Destinations Galore client. The group of nearly 50 stayed in Dublin and traveled the countryside. They visited the Guinness Factory in Dublin , bought world famous Irish lace and got a glimpse of the crystal factory in Waterford , kissed the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle , enjoyed a picnic lunch in Glendalough Park and learned all about the culture and people of Ireland . The pubs and the food are exciting and sophisticated and the group wishes to go again soon. We’ve shared some photos (courtesy of one of the group's travelers) for you to enjoy.
So much is happening in Ireland right now and there are many specials that are available.
Hitting the greens in Ireland is every golfers dream. There are special golf events throughout Ireland in April, May, June and July 2010 including the Irish Open Golf Tournament.
For you foodies, there are a number of culinary expeditions and tours in the coming months too, including Waterford ’s Festival of Food, A Taste of Dublin, the Galway International Oyster Festival, and the Burren Slow Food Festival.
And don’t miss the festivals where the Irish mix food and music…. Eat and stomp your way through Belfast ’s Taste and Music Fest – Belfast has been named one of the top 15 places to visit in the coming decade or the 12th Annual International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival.
There is just so much to see and do in Ireland and our global travel specialists at Destinations Galore can offer you land only packages starting at $698.
